Some information about us

We are a Norwegian family renting out our own private residence, Casa Rubo, in the south of Spain. It is an old Andalucian villa situated in a calm neighborhood called El Faro just 5 kilometers/3 miles to the west of Fuengirola. The Casa is perfect for larger groups, with or without children. The area has restaurants nearby, and a small general store just across the road. The beach is a 10 minutes' walk away form Casa Rubo.

About us

The whole estate consists of four apartments with a total of twenty beds and five bathrooms divided into two buildings, with two apartments in each building. Every apartment has kitchen bedroom(s) bathroom(s) and living room. The apartments vary a bit in size, everything to fit your needs. You could either rent the apartments separately, or the entire Casa Rubo as a whole. There is a large common area with a private pool and a beautiful garden. In front of the main building, under the patio, there is an outdoor kitchen with a dining table for twenty people. Perfect for a common breakfast, or late-night chats. 

Our caretaker Pablo will greet you at the property when you arrive, and provide you with the necessary keys. He is available from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. every day if there are any practical questions. His number will be provided before you arrive. He can also be called off hours if there is an emergency, but only in acute situations.

Do note! During summer, i.e. June–August, the property is only available to rent as a whole, in weekly intervals with changeover on Saturdays.

The Area

The city of Fuengirola is just a 5 minutes' drive away. The town offers all you need for your vacation. Cosy restaurants in narrow streets, a Zoo, a long coastline with small shops, a large shopping mall with more. The famous area of Marbella is only a 20 minutes' drive from the Casa. We can also offer three different vehicles available for rent. One small hatchback, one station wagon and one minivan, 9-seater, if needed. Feel free to contact us if you wish to rent one or more of our cars. We can also offer a pick-up service at the airport for a cost of 15€ per person.

General rules

We do have requirements in advance of your stay. The minimum amount of rentable days during low season is 3 days. There is a deposit of 38€ per person, and a mandatory charge of 22€ per person in terms of cleaning. This is a fixed rate regardless of the length of your stay. We also charge you for the electricity used during your stay with a rate of 0.49€ per kw/h. The amount will be calculated and deducted from the deposit when the rental period is complete. The deposit is also there to cover any potential damages to the property during your stay. All excess funds will be refunded to you as soon as your stay is over, and everything is considered in order.

As stated above: the estate is situated in a quiet neighbourhood. Parties, loud music etc. are prohibited. We inform you that if the Police receives a complaint, and shows up, they usually charge a 500€ fee on the spot. This is something you must pay. Casa Rubo is not responsible for this.
